Main Brief: Rough Cut Feedback

After presenting the rough cut of our main brief to our media class, we were given our classmate's feedback on our piece. The feedbakc contained a mix of positive and negative repsonses to our piece which Amy and I have discussed.

The positive comments included things such as: "Good use of camera angles", "Good continuity and POV shots. Not much was given away", "Good choice of mise en scene" and "shots and cuts were good".

The negative feedback included comments on the poor lighting, and the music we used not being suited to our genre of film.

After discussing what we had seen and the feedback we had recieved, Amy and I decided we need to change the background music to something more eerie and creepy. We also need to add sound effects to exaggerate jumpscares and events that occur in the sequence.

We decided we also want to create our own production company logo and find some music to go along with it. We are also aware that we need to add the opening credits to our sequence with the names of the main production crew and cast.

We are aiming to include all of this in another rough cut which we will complete by Monday the 21st of November as we will be presenting our brief to the classs again, and we will be recieving more feedback. This means that Amy and I will be spending class time on editing and designing our logo as well as doing some at home. Amy and I have also decided to add an opening sequence to our opening where we can explain some of the backstory of our piece without giving too much of the story away. We have decided to do this in a news report of a murdered family.
