Main Brief: Props and Costumes

Props

The Props we will require to film our Main Brief are a mobile phone and an old box, which will already have. These will be a main aspect of the Brief so it was important that we could get ahold of them. We also have a bed for the girl to be sleeping on and a TV to provide a soft background noise. We would also like to get ahold of demonology books and some form of dark paint to put handprints on the back of the door in order to add to the atmosphere of the Brief. We also need a teddy bear to represent the girls innocence. 

Costumes

Our female protagonist will be wearing pyjamas as our Brief is set at night, and Marie is supposed to be asleep when the Brief starts, and this costume will make the the Brief appear much more realistic. The Entity will be dressed all in black to represent mystery and death. This will also stop the audience for immediately knowing exactly what the entity is.

Makeup

For the female character the makeup will be very natural - no lipstick as we don’t wish to sexualise this character due to her situation and age. We also want her to appear as though she has only just woken up, meaning makeup would be inappropriate in the situation.

The Dark Shadow will have a very white face, and dark eye makeup to show give the idea to the audience that the Dark Shadow is dead/ a ghost.
